How to Apply - Utah

Applying for a grant is done through an online grant management system. To apply, follow the steps below:

  • Review the grant guidelines to ensure you qualify for a grant from The Kahlert Foundation.

  • Click here to access the grant management system.

  • After clicking the link, you will need to do one of the following:

    • New User: register and create an account.

    • Existing User: log in using your username and password.

  • After logging in you will be taken to your dashboard. Click the "Apply" button at the top of the page to go to the application. From there, please use the appropriate access code described below.

  • Please note, an organization that has not received funds from The Kahlert Foundation in the past is considered a New Grantee and is required to complete an LOI for a new request to be considered.

    • New Grantee:

      • Enter access code UTAHLOI at the top of the "Apply" page and you will be directed to the Letter of Intent or LOI under the "New Grantee Request" page.

    • Returning Grantee:

      • Enter access code UTAHGRANT at the top of the "Apply" page and you will be directed to the Full Grant Application under the "Returning Grantee Request" page.

If you have any questions about how to use the online grant management system, please contact Chelsea Curtis at ccurtis@thekahlertfoundation.org.

Additional Details

Utah grant requests are reviewed once a year at the June board meeting. It is important to submit applications before May 1 or the application will not be considered until the following year. The earlier a grant request is received the greater the likelihood the grant will be reviewed and presented at the June board meeting.

Organizations will be notified of the decision by the board of directors approximately two weeks after the board meeting. The foundation regrets that our resources are limited and are unable to support all good ideas and proposals. The Kahlert Foundation’s fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30.
